Attended Goddard College in Vermont and Western Washington University in Washington State.

William's Greatgrandfather  on his mothers side  the Ebert family came from Germany and settled in Everett in the 1890's . On his fathers side his Grandfather came to the Seattle area in the 1930's and was general Manager of Sick's Rainier Brewery .  

Consul Weiss established the Washington State Chapter of the Order of MALTA

William has traveled in Europe, the Americas, Asia, Pacific Islands,& Africa. He and his wife have also organized medical aid shipments totaling over 1,000,000 in US dollars to developing nations.
